Before any journey can begin, preparations must be made. This one is no exception.
At first, I was prepared to scratch build the entire vehicle starting from the main chassis. However, as I'm pretty new to the customising/building scene, I was sure that the resulting chassis would be far from close from the actual thing.
So, I decided to search for a suitable chassis that I could use and customise it if possible. Searching locally for a cheap and in-scale chassis proved to be a wild goose chase as I couldn't find anything remotely suitable. Then, I went to Ebay... ... ...
A customary search and after sifting through results that comprised mostly of the current McF version, the previous Joyride versions and the Haloclix version, I finally spotted what I wanted...
What I found was actually a custom made Warthog body that was used for those RC cars and the best thing was that it measures out perfectly and was in a suitable scale together with the McF MC. Thing is, it ain't that cheap but not that expensive either but it beats having to scratch build one. Now I'm waiting for it to arrive in the mail before I can start work.
But other preparations have to be made, I still need to get the other necessary materials to complete this journey. I'll be adding in the materials used as I acquire them.
